The kiss of death. This astonishing sculpture forms part of Barcelona’s Poblenou Cemetery. The Kiss of Death (El Petó de la Mort in Catalan and El beso de la muerte in Spanish) dates back to 1930. A winged skeleton bestows a kiss on the lips of a handsome young man: is it ecstasy on his face or resignation? Little wonder the sculpture elicits strong and varying responses from whoever gazes upon it.
“Cain said to the Lord, ‘My punishment is too great to bear! Behold, You have driven me this day from the face of the ground; and from Your face I will be hidden, and I will be a vagrant and a wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.’But the Lord said to him, ‘Not so; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.’ Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him.” [Genesis 4:13-15]

Crowley looks so frightened.
He does, actually.
There’s the obvious confusion, suspicion.
And there’s a little bit of fear. Because “What have they done to him? How could they do that to an angel?”
My name is Misha Collins and I play Castiel on Supernatural. And I’m co-founder of Random Acts. There’s all this energy that goes into being fans of the show, I started thinking, maybe we can channel some of that energy into doing something good for the world. There’s a continuum of goodness that you can do on any given day, we’re just helping to facilitate kindness. [x]
